ፕሮፌሰር ዚግፍሪድ ፓውዘንቫንግ ከ40 አመታት በላይ በኢትዮጵያ በተለይም በሰብዓዊ መብት እና ዲሞክራሲ በማስፈኑ ሂደት ላይ በማስተማር እና ስልጠና በመስጠት እንደሚታወቁ ገልጧል።
ዚግፍሪድ ፓውዘንቫንግ ሶስት ጊዜ የኢትዮጵያ የምርጫ ታዛቢ የነበሩ ሲሆን፣ የኢትዮጵያ መንግስት ፍትሀዊ ምርጫ ለማካሄድ ማሙዋላት የሚገባውን ነጥቦች ዘርዝርው በማቅረባቸው ከኢትዮጵያ እንዲባረሩ መደረጋቸው ይታወሳል።
